november 26, 2020 (actual date of post) ... this younger version of myself had no idea how much she would be thankful for in her lifetime. she probably was thankful for barbies + my little pony + legos. but had no idea what life had in store. ⁣

she wasn't thinking about what it would be like to be a mother. to be thankful every single second that her children were healthy + happy. she wasn't thinking about what it would be like to be a wife. to be thankful for a partner that gave her unconditional love, steadfast support + kept her smiling through everything life threw their way. she wasn't thinking about how big of a role her friends would play in her life. to be thankful they were always there for her no matter the distance or time between them. ⁣

today, that girl in the photo was thankful for good conversation shared with family, having someone special feel her baby kick + a couple games of cribbage with all her boys. she's learned that what she's most thankful for isn't something that can be bought.⁣
