one of the most important areas you can make a small change with big results in your journey towards being toxic free ... is in the laundry room. it's also one of the areas that people are more apt to be afraid to change. most of us have been married to a certain kind of detergent for our entire lives. for as long as we've been alive, our clothing has been washed. some of you may buy your soap. some may make it. some might use young living's thieves laundry soap. that's me! with one confession. my husband doesn't think his clothes get clean because they don't 'smell' clean. the sad thing is that smell is actually fragrance which he's been trained to think makes things clean. but dude, that's part of the problem! so, i'm working to get our laundry room completely free of things that can hurt us. we wear clothes every day, which are being washed in things that can hurt us. don't believe me? give google a whirl. i wanted to show you how to make your young living thieves laundry soap last a little longer (and also give you the option to add some young living essential oils to it to make it 'smell' a little stronger. if that's your jam. so, here we go. the supplies you will need are: 1 bottle of young living thieves laundry soap a minimum of 6 TBLS of young living thieves household cleaner 75 drops of one of your favorite laundry scent essential oils (i used citrus fresh) 3 - 32 ounce plastic bottles with pumps (i found mine right here on amazon)

first i divide the laundry soap equally between the three bottles. i just eyeball it. no measuring. ain't nobody got time for that.

next, add a minimum of 2 TBLS of thieves household cleaner. again, i just wing it and pour some in. you can't go wrong. this will help boost your laundry soap + act as a stain killer.

then, add 25 drops of the essential oil of your choice to each bottle. this is optional. i added citrus fresh because it will already boost the fresh scent of the laundry soap.

the last step is to slowly fill the rest of the bottle with water. make sure you leave enough space at the top to put your pump in without it overflowing!

and there you have it! you have just stretched one bottle of concentrated thieves laundry detergent into three 32 ounce bottles! use 2 pumps for a large load. the cost would shake out to be about $7.50 per bottle and you should get 64 loads out of each.

if you don't use this hack, just know that a little goes a long way when using thieves laundry soap. you literally need about a quarter sized amount because it's concentrated. i'm obviously a soap lover so i use more, but that's just how i roll. if you don't have any of this young living goodness, let me know. i'll hook you up! #laundrysoaphack #morebangforyourbuck #laundryhack #diylaundrysoap #thieveslaundrysoap #thieveshouseholdcleaner #younglivingessentialoils #doityourself #savemoney #costeffective #chemicalfree #fragrancefree #nontoxicgoodness
